What's your plan for up coming Valentine's day?

It is the day many people will propose marriage, ask someone special to go out, or just give a sweet gift with flowers in United States.

In Japan, basically we do same things though, it's the day much more for girls.

Someone says this is the strategic sales plan generated by Japanese chocolate company that "valentine's day is the day for girls who make a declaration of love by giving a chocolate to boys."

Almost all Japanese girls have an experience of making chocolate candy by themselves for valentine's day, also so many stores have tons of different products of chocolate in this season.

In these days, another sales tactics the companies generated is "give chocolate with appreciation to all your friends, family, and co-workers!". This is so smart.

Right now, many chocolate stores are carrying "Chocolate for Friends", "Chocolate for Father", or "Chocolate for Boss".

I feel like it is the day for eating a year's chocolate candies all at once.

Anyway, in both countries, we give/exchange some special gift each other.
